10 of my most loved side dishes that can be made ahead and store well.
The last two weeks have been a whirlwind! I feel like my Substack has come in last at the end of the day with all the EOY school things. Before the long weekend I did want to share some awesome recipes if you are hosting any get togethers! If you are grilling out this weekend these all make the best side dishes. Truly, the side dishes are always my favorite anyways. All of these sides dishes can be made ahead of time and store and save well.
A few tips on how to make the best salads/side dishes. Always buy fresh preferably local produce if you can, shop your Farmers Market. Take the time to shred your Parmesan yourself or crumble your own feta. The blocks of cheese always have more flavor than the pre-shredded kind. You don’t need a million ingredients in a dressing sometimes simple is best to let the flavors shine through. Never under estimate the power of fresh lemon or lime juice. Fresh herbs are always a YES. I find all of these are best served room temperature.
